Sukkur, Hyderabad controllers of examination suspended

The chief minister directed the administrations of all the education boards to strengthen their examination system

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice of students using unfair means during the matric examinations in Sukkur on Monday. He placed the controller of examination of the Sukkur Board of Secondary Education under suspension.

Education Minister Sardar Shah had reported to the chief minister that not only was there cheating observed at examination centres in Sukkur but credible reports had surfaced stating that a question paper issued by the Sukkur board was leaked before the exam began.

Taking action, the chief minister suspended controller of examination Adbul Sami Soomro and gave the charge of controller of examination to the deputy controller.

Similarly, the controller of examinations of the Hyderabad Board of Secondary Examinations, Mansoor Ahmed Zai, was also suspended by the chief minister and the charge of controller was given to the deputy controller of examination.

The chief minister directed the administrations of all the education boards to strengthen their examination system, otherwise similar action would be taken against the relevant officers of the educational boards.
