Teenager abducted, gang raped in Kot Addu

KOT ADDU: A 17-year-old boy was allegedly gang raped in the Kot Addu police precincts on Tuesday.

A police official told Express News that R*, a resident of Mohallah Araiyan, submitted a complaint, stating that his son I* went out for some work. That was when suspect Asim Abbasi, riding a motorcycle, abducted the boy at gunpoint.
He took the teenager to an abandoned house situated in Madina Chowk. The victim’s father said four more accomplices of the suspect, who were waiting for in the house, locked I* in a room and allegedly sexually assaulted him.

R* disclosed that when his son fell unconscious, the accused dumped him near the family’s home and fled the scene.

The victim was shifted to a local hospital for medical tests. Police have registered FIR no 188/19 under sections 367 and 377 on the complaint of victim’s father and started investigations.

In 2018, NGO Sahil launched a report stating that a shocking 2,322 child abuse cases were reported in the first six months of 2018. The report further pointed out a 32% increase in child abuse in the first six months of 2018 as compared to the reported 1,764 cases in the first half of 2017.
