PESHAWAR: Teachers association of tribal and southern districts has challenged deployment on polio vaccination duty terming it violation of services rules.

In a writ petition filed at the Peshawar High Court, they made the provincial ministry of health, local body’s institutions and polio related officers’ party in the petition. The petition stated that teachers engaged in polio campaigns did not attend school, which wasted student’s time.

If teachers refuse vaccination duty, the education department stops their salaries and related perks and privileges halted which is unjust to them.
