Woman escapes rape attempt by brother-in-law

Accused Zafar wanted to develop relations with S* but she refused

A man allegedly tried to rape his sister-in-law in Kabirwala, Express News reported on Tuesday.

S*, a resident of Moza Jamalke Targar, told police that she had married Shahid a few months ago. She added that her brother-in-law Muhammad Zafar wanted to develop relations with her but she refused.

S* said that the accused tried to force himself upon her several times. The woman maintained that on the day of the incident, she was alone in the house and was busy cleaning when Zafar barged in.

The victim said that the culprit grabbed her hair and took her to one of the rooms. She said her brother-in-law tore her clothes and tried to sexually assault her.  S* revealed when she put up resistance, the suspect brutally tortured her.

The victim said she raised a hue and cry after which people from the neighbourhood reached the spot to help her. However, the accused managed to escape after seeing people approaching.

Nawan Sher police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim and conducted raids to arrest the suspect.

On March 11, a 12-year-old boy was subjected to sexual assault in Khanpur.

Police said D*, was walking on Naz Cinema Road when a resident of the same area Moin approached him on a motorcycle.

The accused took him to a house situated at Pakistan Chowk where two more accomplices of the suspect identified as Malik Rashid and an unidentified man were waiting for them.

The culprits raped the boy and made a video of the incident.
