PR staffers record statements
After Karachi bound Tezgam Express caught fire
MULTAN:
A three-member investigation team, comprising of principal officers, recorded statements of Pakistan Railways (PR) staffers, who were on duty when saloon of Karachi bound Tezgam Express caught fire a few days ago near Lodhran. The PR Multan division sources said that the completely damaged saloon was manufactured in 1903 in British era. The team inspected the saloon on washing lane at Multan Cantt Railway Station and will submit a report after completion of the inspection. The 8-down Tezgam Express was on its way to Karachi when suddenly its saloon caught fire upon which the driver stopped the train. Two Pakistan Railways employees, who were on board the train, alighted from it as the fire erupted.
