SHOs issued show-cause notices

For poor performance and not meeting the target of arresting proclaimed offenders

LAHORE: Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Operations Lahore Muhammad Waqas Nazir has issued show-cause notices to the SHOs of Liaquatabad, Faisal Town and Model Town police stations for their poor performance and not meeting the target of arresting proclaimed offenders of ‘B’ category. These orders were issued in the anti-crime meeting of Model Town Division presided by DIG Operations Lahore on Friday. Explanation letter was also issued to DSP Model Town Circle for his failure in meeting the target of his circle in arresting the Proclaimed Offenders. The DIG Operations also issued order to keep the performance of SHOs of Kotlakhpat and Nishter colony Police Stations under observation. He expressed his displeasure on the overall performance of Kahna circle as well. DIG Nazir said it was impossible to curb crimes without chasing the proclaimed offenders and keeping them behind the bars. He said the performance of Lahore Police would be evaluated through a comprehensive mechanism.
