KARACHI: Burglars targeted the city's Sabri Market in Ranchore Lines on Friday. At least 13 shops were hit by a gang of burglars, who reportedly broke into the shops in the first half of the day.

According to reports, the shops were closed at the time on account of Friday prayers. The burglars broke the locks of 13 shops, from which they looted an estimated Rs1 million and also took food items from bakeries and general stores nearby. Sindh Inspector-General of Police Dr Syed Kaleem Imam took notice of the media reports which surfaced soon after the incident and sought a detailed report from the City senior superintendent of police (SSP) regarding the investigations in the aftermath of the incident.
