Man allegedly rapes daughter in Okara

Victim was alone in the house when her father committed the offence

OKARA: A girl has allegedly been repeatedly raped by her father for the last one-and-a-half years in Okara’s Depalpur area.

Depalpur City Police Station SHO Farrukh Shahzad said that Shaukat Ali, a resident of Area 38-D, had married R* a few years ago and the couple had a daughter N*.

He added on the day of the incident, N* was alone in the house when her father allegedly sexually assaulted her. The SHO maintained that while the accused was committing the shameful act, victim’s uncle Muhammad Hassan reached the spot. On seeing him approaching, Shaukat fled the scene, he pointed out.

The police lodged an FIR against the suspect on complaint of victim’s uncle and started investigations. Meanwhile, N* told the police that her father had allegedly been raping her for the past one-and-a-half-years.

While taking notice of the incident, DPO Okara Athar Ismaeel had formed a special squad, under the supervision of DSP Inamul Haq to apprehend the culprit.

In a similar incident a few months back, a man raped his two daughters in Gujranwala.

The police said Muzammil, a resident of a village near Qila Dedar Singh, had married S*. The couple had two daughters identified as 14-year-old A* and 12-year-old M*.
