A three-judge bench, led by Chief Justice Asif Saeed Khosa, heard the appeal challenging the Peshawar High Court (PHC) decision.
Justice Khosa observed that the convict, Faisal, had murdered five people – a mother, her three children and their maid – during a robbery in their house in 2009 to wipe out the evidence.
SC acquits eight suspects in kidnapping case
Meanwhile, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa advocate general also pleaded to reject the appeal of the convict and said a killer of five innocent people deserves no mercy.
Subsequently, the apex court rejected the appeal and upheld the PHC's decision.
On January 22, the top court had acquitted eight suspects who were awarded life imprisonment by a trial court in a kidnapping case.
