Balochistan Customs department seals pumps for selling smuggled fuel

Customs’ personnel also foil smuggling bid

QUETTA: The Balochistan Customs department on Friday sealed 15 petrol pumps for selling Iranian petrol and diesel as part of its crackdown on smuggled fuel.

The fuel stations, located in the Sariab Road area of the provincial capital, were sealed under the supervision of senior officials for selling smuggled Iranian diesel and petrol.

Customs’ personnel also foiled a smuggling bid, seizing 6,350kg of betel nuts along with foreign goods from a truck near Kulpur check post in Bolan district. The contrabands included new and old tires, welding rods, solar plates and cloth worth over Rs10 million.
