Bieber admits wanting to consummate marriage a major reason behind tying the knot quickly

Hailey Baldwin and Justin Bieber say they abstained from sex for the 12 weeks of their relationship until they were married, Mail Online reported.

The newlyweds spoke to Vogue Magazine about their relationship in a recent interview which appeared alongside photographs taken by Annie Leibovitz.

The couple said celibacy was one of the most important decisions they made but confirmed that marriage was "always going to be hard" and  that it is not a "magical fantasy."



In his first interview in two years, Bieber said his religious beliefs led him to abstain from being intimate with Hailey after the pop star said he previously had "a legitimate problem with sex."

The singer was pictured coming out of a brothel in Brazil covered in white bedsheets, back in 2013.

'I think sex can cause a lot of pain. Sometimes people have sex because they don’t feel good enough. Because they lack self-worth. Women do that, and guys do that."
