Man attacks family with acid in Multan

Nadeem had suspicions over Allah Ditta’s character. He had asked him not to visit his house again

MULTAN: A man allegedly attacked a family with acid over a minor dispute in Multan’s Shujabad tehsil, Express News reported.

According to details, Allah Ditta had good relations with Nadeem, a resident of Khokhran area and often used to visit his home. However, Nadeem had suspicions over his character. On the day of the incident, he asked Allah Ditta not to visit his house again.

At this, the accused was enraged and after a heated argument, he threw acid on Nadeem, his 26-year-old wife Rehana and nine-year-old son Ramzan. All three victims sustained burns and were shifted to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital for treatment.

The doctors at the health facility said that the condition of Nadeem and Ramzan was stable as they sustained minor burns, while Rehana suffered injuries on different parts of the body.

Meanwhile, a case has been registered against the suspect at Muzaffarabad police station while raids are being conducted to arrest him. Further investigations are under way.

Earlier, a man sustained severe burns when motorcycle riders threw acid on him for allegedly sending text messages to a woman in Burewala. The incident occurred in City police station limits.

Muhammad Usama, a resident of Satellite Town, was on his way to I Block, Civil Lines area, when Junaid and his accomplices intercepted him. After an argument, the culprits threw acid on the victim and fled the scene. Usama suffered critical burns to different parts of the body.

The victim’s eyesight was affected by the attack.
