KPT corruption: Court grants time to prosecutor to prepare

KARACHI: An accountability court directed on Wednesday the prosecutor of the National Accountability Court (NAB) to appear with full preparation at the next hearing regarding a reference against MPA Javed Hanif on illegal allotments and appointments in the Karachi Port Trust (KPT).

Hanif and other accused appeared before the court. The witness of NAB in the case, Ports and Shipping Deputy Secretary Saifullah Khan, also appeared before the court.

NAB arrests another suspect in KPT case

The NAB prosecutor requested time to prepare for the case which the court granted. The hearing was adjourned till February 25.

Hanif, Rauf Akhtar and others have already been arrested in the reference, while former minister Babar Ghauri has been declared an absconder.
