On Tuesday, Afridi and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Capital Development Authority Ali Nawaz Awan, Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari and MNA Raja Khurram Nawaz visited Chatta Bakhtawar. They were accompanied by Islamabad Deputy Commissioner Hamza Shafqat and members of the Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration and the Capital Development Authority (CDA).
They reviewed the alleged illegal occupation of state land by a plaza owner. The city officials briefed Afridi and others about the illegal occupation of land in the area. Shafqat presented a survey report in this regard as well.
Shafqat added that they were working on preparing a fresh survey report of the area about the illegal occupation of state land as well which will be presented by Friday.
Earlier the Islamabad High Court had also directed to conduct fresh demarcation of the road in the area.
Reiterating that occupation of state land will not be tolerated, Afridi said that the law was equal for everyone and everyone will have to be subject to the law.
