Information minister says Saudi Arabia, Iran and US now give weightage to PM Imran's words

GUJRANWALA: Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on Saturday said the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government's mission will not be completed until all citizens are treated equally in the country.

Addressing a public gathering in Ghakhar, he said Pakistan's ties with Middle East countries had greatly improved in the last six months.

The federal minister said Saudi Arabia, Iran and US now give weightage to Prime Minister Imran Khan's words.

He said several countries were looking towards Pakistan to play its due role in the region.



Chaudhry added that the PTI government inherited a weak economy, adding that, "The loans taken in the last 10 years had to be paid back."

The minister said that Prime Minister Imran did not take a single penny from national exchequer, adding that the premier regarded himself accountable before the people.

"When previous leadership was questioned about foreign loans, they started hue and cry, and termed the democracy at risk," he said.

"The money which had to be spent for the development of Gujranwala, Jhelum, Larkana, Ghakhar and other areas, was found in Dubai and London," he added.
