Compensation distributed among 132 ex-militants

Under the ‘Peaceful Balochistan Package’

QUETTA: Under the ‘Peaceful Balochistan Package’ a compensation amount was distributed among 132 former militants including commanders and sub-commanders on Thursday.

The ceremony was held at Pakistan House Sui town and Sector Commander East Brigadier Zulfiqar Bajwa was the chief guest.

These former militants had abandoned militancy against the state and surrendered their weapons in an effort to play their role for the progress of the country.

The package is designed to provide complete help including monetary aid to help them live a better life.

Zulfiqar Bajwa while speaking at the distribution ceremony said by the combined efforts of the government and law enforcement agencies so far many anti-state militants had put down their arms and joined hands with the government for the country’s development.

At the end Brig Bajwa, Yasir Bazai and Mir Jan Muhammad Bugti distributed the amount among the ex-militants.

Deputy Commissioner Dera Bugti Yasir Bazai, Mir Jan Muhammad Bugti, Shah Murad Bugti, Mir Jamal Khan Kalpar, Wadera Ghulam Nabi Bugti and a large number of armed forces and civilian officers were present on the occasion.
