FIA nabs four human smugglers

Suspects used to extort money from the people by promising to send them abroad

MULTAN: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) officials arrested four human smugglers during raids in different parts of South Punjab, Express News has learnt.

An FIA official said a team, headed by Inspector Mumtaz Qureshi, conducted raids and nabbed accused Muhammad Umar, Allah Ditta, Khalid Hussain and Mushtaq.

He added the suspects used to extort money from the people by promising to send them abroad. He maintained the accused were arrested from Pakpattan, Harappa, Burewala and Sahiwal areas.

He revealed that all the four culprits were booked in different cases and were absconders. The official said the accused and had been evading arrest for a long time. The FIA have registered cases against the accused and shifted them behind bars.

A few days ago, the FIA in Faisalabad arrested four people for swindling citizens through lottery schemes.

According to details, the authority received complaints that Muhammad Javaid, Muhammad Arshad, Muhammad Iqbal and Muhammad Aslam, all residents of Hajji Abad in Jhang, swindled locals through lottery schemes.

The FIA conducted a surprise raid and arrested all four accused. They also confiscated 25 mobile phones, lottery software and other material from their possession.

During initial interrogation, the suspects revealed they were involved in extorting money from various people in Pakistan and abroad.
