Wheat: Punjab purchases 3.96m tons

Wheat procurement kicks off as food department purchases 3.96 million tons of wheat in Punjab.

FAISALABAD:

The provincial food department has has purchased 3.96 million tons of wheat in Punjab during the ongoing procurement drive, said a spokesperson for the department.

Largest amount of 678,000 tons was purchased from Bahawalpur Division followed by 250,000 tons purchased from Rawalpindi Division.
