Relief: Tax payment date extended

FBR announces extended date for payment of taxes for the tax period May 2011.

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has announced that it has extended the date for payment of taxes and duties for the tax period May 2011 and filing of sales tax and federal excise returns, up to June 20.

According to an FBR spokesperson on Wednesday, this facility will be offered to registered persons in exercise of powers conferred under section 74 of Sales Tax Act, 1990 and Section 43 of Federal Excise Act, 2005.
