Renowned gynecologist addresses inaugural session of a 10-day clinical course at Lahore General Hospital

LAHORE: Renowned gynecologist Prof Rashid Lateef has called upon the need to provide proper and latest trainings to the young doctors in the field of gynae.

He said to properly look after the health of mother and child and avoid complications of delivery cases it was vital to impart modern training to the doctors. Prof Lateef was addressing the inaugural session of a 10-day clinical course at Lahore General Hospital.

He said it was very important that awareness among masses be spread especially among women.

In his address, Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Prof Mohammad Tayyab said most of the women contact local untrained midwives who have no medical training. “We have to change this situation and create awareness among masses.

Young doctors should take modern medical education to skill themselves with the requirements,” he said.

The PGMI principal appreciated the holding of 10-day long clinical course and said it would be a big opportunity to equip them with latest training especially in gynae department.
