Law-enforcement agencies arrested a man from the main gate of an Ahmadi place of worship during Friday prayers in Ghari Shahu. According to reports, the 25-year-old man was arrested for suspicious behaviour and was later transferred to an undisclosed location for preliminary investigations.

Meanwhile, it has become known that Abdullah, one of the attackers who stormed the Ahmadi place of worship last Friday, and his brother Khubaib had disappeared from their house in Karachi five months ago. Abdullah’s uncle Abdul Sattar, who lives in Rahim Yar Khan, has said that Abdullah’s father Maulvi Attaullah had shifted to Karachi from Rahim Yar Khan 20 years ago.

Abdul Sattar added that Abdullah and his brother were born in Karachi and both of them suddenly disappeared from their house five months ago. He also revealed that investigators arrested Moulvi Attaullah from his madrassah two to three days ago. Abdul Sattar further claimed that the picture of the bearded man being flashed in the media is not Abdullah.

Also on Friday a special anti-terrorist court granted 14–day physical remand of one of the men involved in last week’s attacks on the Ahmadi worship places.

Asmatullah alias Maaz was presented in the anti-terrorist court, where the judge granted the police 14-day remand of the terrorist. The next hearing of the case has been scheduled for June 18.
