A boy who had been kidnapped in Lahore 10 years ago has been found from Karachi, and reunited with his father.

DSP Tahir Anis said 10 years back Ali Haider, a resident of Jhelum, had gone to Lahore in search of his mother after his parents had separated, Express News reported on Friday.

Haider was kidnapped in the Punjab capital, and was forced into bonded labour at a cattle farm.

He, however, managed to escape his captors and went to Karachi.

Haider says he only remembered that his father lived near the banks of the Jhelum river and his name was Ghulam Hussain.

The boy was helped by a man he found in Karachi a week ago.

The man contacted the Special Police Branch, Rawalpindi who managed to help reunite him with his father from Jhelum.
