Police arrest three accused while raids are being conducted to nab others

MUZAFFARGARH: A man was brutally tortured for having alleged illicit relations with a woman in Muzaffargarh, Express News reported on Friday. At least three suspects involved in the incident have been nabbed by police.

An official of Shah Jamal police station said Hakim Ali, a resident of Basti Londa, had a suspicion that his wife Zakia Bibi had relations with another man from the area identified as Sadiq Hussain.

He added that on the day of the incident, the victim was on his way home when Hakim and his accomplices Majid, Khalid Hussain, Muhammad Hussain, Arshad and Ismaeel etc abducted Sadiq and took him to a house.

He said the culprits tortured the man and blackened his face in a bid to take revenge. The accused also recorded a video which went viral within in a few hours of being uploaded on social media.

While taking action, the police team immediately raided a hideout and nabbed three accused involved in the incident. The police have registered a case on the complaint of victim’s father Imam Bakhsh and conducted raids to nab other culprits.

Earlier, a man was gunned down over suspicion of having alleged illicit relations with a woman in Vehari’s Burewala City.
