Foreign dignitaries to attend CJP-designate Asif Saeed Khosa’s oath-taking

ISLAMABAD: Justice Asif Saeed Khosa will be sworn in as the 26th Chief Justice of Pakistan on Friday.

President Dr Arif Alvi will administer the oath at a ceremony at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, which will be attended by judges of the Supreme Court, senior lawyers and other dignitaries.

Several foreign dignitaries will also witness the oath-taking of Justice Khosa.

CJP-designate Khosa to sparingly use suo motu powers

They include President Supreme Court of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Narin Ferdi Sefik, Chief Judge of the Borno State of Nigeria, Kashim Zannah, former senior puisne judge of the Supreme Court of India, Justice Madan Bhimarao Lokura and founding President of the Commonwealth Judicial Education Institute, Sandra E Oxner of Canada.
