Deputy Commissioner directs assistant commissioners to follow up polio refusal cases

Prime Minister Focal Person for Polio Eradication Babar Bin Atta on Tuesday said that the government has decided to completely revamp its dormant 'polio victims rehabilitation wing' to make them useful citizens of society.

"Beyond vaccination, the polio programme should serve the purpose of rehabilitating innocent children paralysed by polio" Babar Bin Atta said in a statement.

Moreover, Deputy Commissioner Umer Jhangir, on Tuesday directed Assistant Commissioners of all tehsils to follow up polio refusal cases and if anybody refused polio vaccination drops to their children after continuous convincing, an FIR would be lodged against them.

he DC directed health department to devise an optimal micro plan for anti-polio campaign.
