Three officers shortlisted: Cabinet to name CDA acting boss

Shortlisted officers include Amir Ali Ahmed, Capt (retd) Asadullah Khan and Khushal Khan

The federal cabinet will decide today (Thursday) the name for acting chairman of Capital Development Authority (CDA) out of three shortlisted officers.

CDA Member Estate Khushal Khan is a strong candidate for the additional charge. Sources said that the authority was facing an administrative crisis due to extended leaves of CDA Chairman Abdul Latif. The three shortlisted officers include Chief Commissioner Amir Ali Ahmed, CDA Member Administration Capt (retd) Asadullah Khan and Member Estate Khushal Khan for the additional charge of chairman CDA. According to the CDA Ordinance only its board member could be appointed as acting chairman. Chief Commissioner Ali Ahmed is an ex-officio member of CDA while Asad and Khushal are the regular members of CDA board.
