
As many as four persons were killed in different areas of Rawalpindi on Monday.
In the first incident, a boy Riasat Mehmood shot dead his stepfather, Jahangir Khan, and handed himself over to the police. Station House Officer Sadiqabad police, Khan Muhammad, said the boy claimed that he killed his stepfather because he was unhappy with his mother’s second marriage. The murder weapon, a 30-bore pistol, was also confiscated by the police.
In another incident two men, Yousaf and Zaffar, were shot dead by an unidentified gunman in village Parial, in the jurisdiction of Chontra police. Police said that two men were sitting on a road side stall when they were killed. The bodies were shifted to District Headquarters Hospital (DHQ).
Meanwhile another man, Muhammad Asghar was gunned down in Babu Mohalla market by two unidentified men riding a motorcycle. His body was shifted to DHQ hospital were doctors pronounced him dead on arrival.
