Karachi AIG sacks four police officials

Dr Shaikh also issues posting orders of four SHOs of different police stations in the port city

KARACHI: The Karachi Police chief, Additional Inspector General of Police (AIGP) Dr Ameer Ahmed Shaikh, paid surprise visits to different police stations and suspended four cops, including a Deputy Superintendent and three Station House Officers for negligence in duty.

Dr Shaikh also issued appreciation certificates to one DSP, one SHO and an ASI for their good performance, besides awarding cash prizes to 35 other cops.

The sacked officials included Docks SHO, Kharadar DSP and the SHOs of Kharadar and Mithadar police stations. He announced to give appreciation certificates to Baghdadi DSP, and the SHO and an ASI of Kalri Police Station.

Later on the same day, Dr Shaikh also issued the posting orders of four SHOs of different police stations in the city. According to the notification, Sub-inspector Ilyas Shah has been posted as Sir Syed Town SHO, Tassawar Ameer as Mochko SHO, Ikram Arain as Baghdadi SHO and Tassawar Hussain Jutt as Orangi Town SHO.
