SC for removing barriers in ‘local cure’ for hepatitis

LAHORE: The SC has summoned an 11-member committee, including the federal health minister, in Islamabad on Monday (today) in order to devise a strategy to remove all technical and government barriers in the way of research on artificial skin and preparation of affordable medicines for hepatitis patients.

A two-member bench, headed by Chief Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, was hearing a petition of public interest filed by Dr Javed Akram and Dr Riaz at the SC Lahore registry on Sunday.



Chief Justice Nisar vowed to resolve the issue under all circumstances.  The petition called for preparation and provision of affordable medicines for hepatitis patients and research into making artificial skin. billions of rupees in profit.”

The Drap head told the court that recommendations for formation of a committee for development of interfusion injection and artificial skin had been made and that the government had yet to issue a notification.
