Former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, who is one of the accused in the case, could not appear in court again. Other accused appeared in the court and marked their presence. The hearing was adjourned due to the judge being on leave.
More than 25 persons, including Gillani, are accused of billions of rupees corruption on account of freight subsidy. Other nominated accused include Tariq Iqbal Puri, former TDAP director-general Abdul Karim Dawood Pota, Muhammad Zubair, Adnan Zaman, Mirchomal Khatri, Younus Rizwani, Javed Anwar, Najmul Haq, Mirza Karim Baig, Sohail Mehmood, Farhan Ahmed, Asim Rizwani. More than ten accused have been declared absconders in the case. The absconding accused include Muhammad Noman, Farhan Junejo, Mian Muhammad Tariq, Akhtar Mehmood, Mehr Haroon Rasheed, Sameer, Allahdad and Abidullah.
