The varsity is promoting those research projects which will lead to the socio-economic development of the country, said PU VC Niaz Ahmed.
Science and technology are changing rapidly. We must make an effort to create new knowledge and contribute towards the advancement of the country, he added.

Later, a symposium on the future trends in cellular and molecular biological research and applications was organised by CEMB, the Molecular Biology Consortium, Lahore, the University of Maryland, Baltimore, the Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore and the University of Miami, Florida.
