Medical negligence: Woman dies after getting injection

MULTAN: A woman died after receiving the wrong injection from a local doctor on Sunday afternoon. According to hospital officials, tehsil Jalalpur Pirwala resident Manzoor Ahmed, took his daughter Ayesha to the clinic of a quack Saifur Rehman. Rehman administered an injection for Ayesha’s fever and within hours of being administered the injection, Ayesha began bleeding from her nose, ears and eyes. Ayesha was rushed to the local THQ Hospital but she died on the way. Manzoor Ahmed has filed a case with the police and they are searching for Rehman, who fled the district. Ayesha was a widow and had three children.
