ISLAMABAD: Supreme Court after six-years released a man charged with attempt to murder in Malakand. The two-member bench comprising Justice Asif Saeed Khosa and Justice Mushir Alam heard the review appeal of Sabir Shah. Justice Khosa said Shah was charged with shooting Naik Muhammad six-times, however the reason written in FIR for the attack was not clear. Moreover, two witnesses Saleh Muhammad and Riaz Shah did not appear for the testimonies. Police investigation also does not clarify the reason for enmity. The SC ruling said that if there was no other case on Shah then he should be immediately released. During the hearing Justice Khosa said that the Supreme Court with the help of lawyers has cleared backlog of past 24 years and was now listening to appeals filed in 2018.
