Deposed PM Nawaz Sharif sentenced to seven years, fined Rs1.5b in NAB references

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad's accountability court sentenced deposed prime minister Nawaz Sharif to seven years in jail in the Al-Azizia corruption reference.



The court acquitted the PML-N supremo in the Flagship reference but imposed a fine of Rs1.5 billion. His sons, Hassan and Hussain, were declared absconders.
