Teacher who shielded students

PESHAWAR: The seniormost teacher of the APS Muhammad Abu Bakr Wasim is a hero who shielded children from the gunfire of the attackers with his own body and in the process became a target.

Talking to Daily Express, he recalled that he was in the staff room on the fateful day when four children came running and hid behind him.

At the same time, four terrorists entered the staff room and opened fire at him due to which he sustained three bullet injuries.

One bullet hit his stomach while the second and third bullets hit his ear and foot. The three children who hid behind the teacher survived the onslaught, but the teacher was wounded in the process.
