KARACHI: The Supreme Court-mandated Commission on Water and Sanitation put the Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) and its contractor on notice for December 14 on the complaint of Karachi West District Municipal Corporation (DMC) Chairperson Izharuddin Ahmed Khan.
He stated that the DMC handed over its employees to the contractor for cleaning work but the corporation, instead of the contractor, continues to pay salaries to that staff. He also claimed that his area is not being properly cleaned by the contractor.
