Nine die in Pishin, Chaman accidents

Six people in the car died on the spot and 14 others were critically injured

QUETTA: At least nine people were killed and 24 others sustained injuries in two road accidents in Pishin and Chaman on Thursday.

According to Levies sources, a trailer carrying motorcycles was going from Quetta to Chaman when, after colliding with two cars, it overturned on one of them near Baloch Khan Hotel near Afghan border. They said breaks of the trailer had failed.

Six people in the car died on the spot and 14 others were critically injured. Bodies and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Chaman.

The deceased were identified as Azizullah, Sultan, Mohammad, Mohammad Nadeem, and Mohammad Ikhlas. Identity of one deceased could not be ascertained.

Meanwhile, three people were killed and 10 others were injured when a car collided with a bus in Pishin district.

The deceased were identified as Mohammad, Haji Abdul Salam, and Azizullah. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital where doctors said their condition was out of danger.
