The senator added that passports of foreigners with Pakistani identity cards also had Indian visas on them.

Mehmood went on to say that 150 CNICs of Tajik nationals had been found from Lahore. However, some of them yet to be blocked by the authority.

The list of foreigners, he said, was handed over to the Intelligence Bureau (IB) which will further probe the matter.

The senator also apprised the reporters that the Senate committee had asked the IB to submit a report into the matter.

No arrests had been made so far, he added.

According to him, Nadra has not taken any steps to stop the CNICs being issued to foreign nationals.
