Nadra fire: Data, valuable equipment destroyed

Rescue 1122 team rushed to the scene managed to extinguish the fire after two hours of hectic efforts.

PESHAWAR: Property and valuable documents and equipment worth millions of rupees were destroyed after a fire broke out at National Database Registration Authority (Nadra) Regional Headquarters office in Phase-V Hayatabad. A press release issued by Rescue 1122 here on Thursday said that a Rescue 1122 team rushed to the scene managed to extinguish the fire after two hours of hectic efforts. Rescue 1122 said the fire broke out due to a short circuit and equipment including Nadra’s server computer, laptops, LCDs, ACs and much of K-P’s data recovered was also destroyed. Rescue sources said furniture and documents were reduced to ashes and nearby vehicles were completely destroyed. No loss of life was reported in the incident.
