The private sector of China and the government should consider investing in Pakistan through joint ventures, according to Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI) Vice-President Tariq Sayeed.
Speaking at the Pakistan-China business forum in Kunming city in China, Sayeed emphasised the need for relocation of Chinese industries in Pakistan, arguing that the move would help create job opportunities and enable units to create surplus for re-export to China, providing a remedy to bridge Pakistan’s trade deficit with China.
He termed the business-to-business meeting a proactive initiative of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.
