FIA arrests man over sharing obscene content

Records obtained reveal he had victimised at least 10 children

KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested a 24-year-old man, on Friday, reportedly involved in tricking young children into making and sharing obscene photos and videos on social media.

According to FIA, the suspect, Hamza, after luring young children and obtaining their obscene videos and photos, used to share the content on various whatsapp groups, social media and other websites and blackmail them.  The cybercrime circle of FIA carried out the raid upon a complaint by one of the victim's father.

The FIA  arrested Hamza in a raid in Metroville. Records obtained reveal he had victimised at least 10 children, aged between 9 and 13 years. FIA registered a case against Hamza with charges for child pornography under the Pakistan Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act.
