Differently-abled girl subjected to sexual assault

Victim’s father said S* was alone in her house when the accused barged in and allegedly raped her

RAHIM YAR KHAN: A differently-abled girl was allegedly gang-raped in Rahim Yar Khan’s Zahir Pir area, Express News reported on Wednesday.

The victim’s father I*, a resident of Moza Muhammad Khan, submitted a complaint at the police station in which he stated that he was a labourer and his six-year-old daughter S* was differently-abled. He added that his wife had passed away a few years ago.

He maintained that on the day of the incident, he went to work and S* was alone in the house. I* stated that accused Muhammad Asif, Fareed and an unidentified man barged into his house and gang-raped his daughter.

The victim’s father said that after committing the offence the suspects escaped the scene leaving S* injured and unconscious.

He said that after sometime, when his sister went to the house, she saw the girl lying on the floor and bleeding. He pointed out that she immediately informed the police which shifted S* to the hospital for medical examination.

Meanwhile, the Zahir Pir police said that the accused were the neighbours of the victim. The police have registered a case against the culprits and started investigations.

On November 24, a 10-year-old girl was sexually assaulted in Khanpur. Victim’s mother SB*, a resident of Moza Chandia, lodged a complaint at the police station in which she stated that her TV was not working. Therefore, she called her relative Abu Harira to take it to the shop for repair.

She said that the accused reached their home and took the TV and her daughter S* along with him to the shop.  She maintained that after a few hours, S* did not return home and she got worried.

The mother revealed that she and other people went looking for the girl. She stated that during the search, one of the locals told them that he saw the girl going with the suspect to the nearby fields. She mentioned that they immediately rushed to the spot and heard screams coming from the fields. The victim’s mother said that when they got closer, they saw the accused sexually abusing S*.  She said locals caught the man and handed him over to the police.
