The Lion King trailer makes second-biggest debut



The Lion King becomes Disney’s second most-viewed trailer after Avengers: Infinity War, in 24 hours. The remake comes from director Jon Favreau with Donald Glover leading the cast as young lion Simba, while Beyonce voices Nala, a childhood friend and later love interest to Simba. Glover and Knowles-Carter are also joined by James Earl Jones who voices Simba’s father Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Simba’s villainous uncle Scar, Alfre Woodard as Simba’s mother Sarabi, while John Kani voices the baboon we all grew up loving, Rafiki.

Ranveer Singh calls Deepika Padukone the most beautiful woman in the world



Ritika Bhavnani, Ranveer Singh’s sister threw the newlyweds a party which was attended by the couple’s close friends and family members. An Instagram video was shared by an Indian journalist Snah Zala in which Ranveer is seen onstage introducing himself and his better half at the bash in an adorable fashion. “Ladies and gentlemen, I married the most girl woman in the world. Guys, we are really happy to have you all together here, tonight. It is going to be an epic night. There are so many of you, all our lovers and friends. We are here to celebrate what is going to be an epic future… you and me” he said.

FiLUMS International Film Festival



FiLUMS International Film Festival organised by Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) Media Arts Society concluded after a two-day run. FiLUMS brought together youth to experience and admire various art forms. Battle of the Bands competitors Xarb and Bayaan perform on the first day. An exclusive teaser of film Laal Kabootar was also screened. YouTube vlogger Taimoor Salahuddin, aka Mooroo and Irfan Junejo also made an appearance. Both the Youtubers advised aspiring content creators to be consistent with their content. The Fashion Films Panel discussion featured designers Munib Nawaz and Naveed Amjad. This year, FiLUMS received a warm response from audiences.

Zayn Malik’s cover of Allah Duhai Hai



Zayn Malik’s recent rendition of Allah Duhai Hai stirred up a storm on social media. Fans seemed to have liked Zayn’s new cover better than the ones he had done earlier. “I have never felt more connected with you than I do today,” a Twitter user, wrote. “Your mind is so powerful. You make me so proud to be brown.” The three-minute track is sure to get you hooked. Zayn hit all the right notes and with a perfect Hindi accent. He shared the cover on Twitter and captioned it “For the fans.”

Sussanne is my closest friend: Hrithik Roshan



Hirthik Roshan and Sussanne have been divorced for quite a while now, yet the two share and cherish moments together as a family. Recently, the Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara star posted a series of photos on his Instagram with Sussanne and their kids. “Here is Sussanne, my closest friend (also my ex-wife) capturing a moment with me and our boys. A moment in itself,” read the caption. It continued, “It tells a story to our kids. That in a world separated by lines and ideas, it is still possible to be united. And that you can want different things as people and yet stay undivided. Here’s to a more united, tolerant, brave, open and loving world. It all starts at home.” Sussanne left a comment on the post that read “This is us, always and beyond forever.

Farhan Akhtar expresses his disappointment in Sajid Khan



Farhan Akhtar says he feels a sense of guilt for not being aware of the indecent behaviour of his cousin Sajid Khan. “Every time something like this has happened in the public domain, I’ve been very vocal with my opinion. When it came to someone within my family, remaining silent would be very hypocritical, so pretty much on the first day when three women came out and spoke, I felt it was important for me to speak out.” Farhan shared he is going to help Sajid figure out a way to make the affected women feel better, starting with an apology as apologising is a big step and can make a person feel a lot better.
