Agriculture Boost: ‘Biochemistry must be promoted’

UAF Vice Chancellor said it’s important to focus on basic sciences to make progress in the field of applied sciences.

FAISALABAD: In order to solve economic challenges facing Pakistan, agriculture experts called for promoting the field of biochemistry and boosting up the agricultural sector, according to experts. Speaking at a seminar titled: “Issue of the Biochemistry,” at the University of Agriculture in Faisalabad (UAF) on Wednesday, UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan said it’s important to focus on basic sciences to make progress in the field of applied sciences.  According to him, agriculture is the backbone of the economy and said that a large number of people live in rural areas and were related to agriculture.
