LAHORE: Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed of the Lahore high Court (LHC) on Wednesday sought reply from the Parks and Horticulture Authority (PHA) director general on imposition of charges for taking photographs of the Minar-i-Pakistan. The judge issued the order during the hearing of a petition by a citizen Muhammad Tariq, who complained that the PHA had imposed Rs50 ticket for taking snaps of the monument. The petitioner said that Minar-i-Pakistan was a national asset and attracted local and foreign tourists. Imposing such charges was unlawful, he said. He asked the court to set aside the condition of a ticket in the best interest of the public.
