SSP Basheer says arms were recovered from their possession

QUETTA: Police on Monday arrested two accused of the killing of abducted Haji Muhammad Nawaz Mengal whose body was found from Mastung district a few days back.

Addressing a press conference on Monday, SSP Nasirabad Irfan Basheer said, the two accused were apprehended in search operation carried out at different places by the police team. Arms were recovered from their possession, he added.

During the investigation, the SSP said the accused confessed of their crime for being involved in abduction and killing of Sindh and Balochistan Rice Mill’s Owner Association’s Vice President Haji Muhammad Nawaz Mengal during the investigation.

He said efforts were underway to arrest their other remaining partners involved in the case. Further investigation was underway.
