RAWALPINDI: Women empowerment is imperative for the economic uplift of the country and “Women entrepreneurs must be promoted,” said Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) President Malik Shahid Saleem.

Inaugurating a career fair at the Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU), he said, “It is the need of the hour to strengthen the industry-academia linkage to endorse business activities and the Rawalpindi Chamber is playing its due role in this regard.”

“We have 2 million youth seeking jobs every year and only business activities can help lower unemployment in the country,” he stated.

Saleem added that they have decided to motivate students into opting for business and research partnerships between corporations and universities.
