HYDERABAD: A group of thieves broke the padlocks of nearly one and a half dozen shops in Qasimabad and Hussainabad on Saturday and Sunday, and took away cash and goods in a major incident of larceny.

Padlocks of 10 shops were broken in Hussainabad, four shops of clothes in Qasimabad and a mobile franchise in Latifabad in the limits of three police stations. Muhammad Navaid, owner of the mobile franchise, said that Rs124,000 cash, LCD television set and a biometric machine have been stolen from his shop in the jurisdiction of A-Section police station.

Nine shops looted in Bohri Bazaar

Ameer Muslim Hussaini, a shopkeeper from Hussainabad, said that cash and goods were stolen from the general and medical stores, a caterers shop and a gaming zone in his area.
