QUETTA: Two people including a woman were killed in Balochistan's Naseerabad for 'honour' on Saturday.

According to police, the accused, identified as Hasil Khan, opened fire at her cousin Noor Bibi and her friend Muhammad Yousaf in Goth Mugheem, Tamboo area, killing both instantly.

Police and rescue workers rushed to the spot. “The accused fled from the scene, but the hunt for Hasil Khan is underway,” the law enforcement agency said.

'Honour’ killers' take five more lives in Balochistan

The bodies were shifted to district headquarter hospital for the medico-legal procedure. Later, they were handed over to their heirs for burial.

The Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) reports an average of 650 'honour' killings in the country annually over the past decade. But since most go unreported, the real number is likely to be much higher.
