After more than two and a half years of the tragic incident on the eve of the Hindu festival, Holi, in which more than 60 people including women were killed after consuming moonshine liquor, the suspect who supplied the methyl chemical for the liquor has been arrested. The incident took place in Tando Muhammad Khan district in March, 2016.
Man accused of kidnapping, murdering minor remains unprosecuted
Hyderabad police arrested the suspect, Rizwan Mughal alias Tariq, in a raid in the Fakir Jo Pirh area on Friday. The Phuleli Police Station SHO Allah Dino Panhwar confirmed the arrest. "We have conveyed to Tando Muhammad Khan district police to take custody of the suspect."
According to him, Phuleli police station was informed by a resident of the locality about the presence of Mughal in the area. Although Mughal belongs to Hyderabad, he remained in hiding, the SHO said.
The main suspect, Ali Nawaz Panhwar, was arrested a week after the incident in an injured condition in a police encounter.

The Crime Investigation Agency's (CIA) in-charge sub-inspector Ghulam Shabbir Dalwani, Shafi Dalwani, Hakim Halepoto, Shaukat Ali, Abdul Rehman and three others were also booked under sections 337 and 316 in the FIR.
The former Hyderabad deputy inspector-general Khadim Hussain Rind had revealed in a press conference that Panhwar was bribing policemen and officials of excise department to continue his illegal business.
